<![CDATA[Riding the Brain Waves! ]]>Tue, 23 Sep 2014 07:13:11 GMThttp://mirandacurrie.ca/blog/riding-the-brain-wavesPicture
My trip to Gaia Collaborative Medicine in Canmore, Alberta was life-changing! Dr. Tracy Thompson and her team were able to help me move forward in my brain injury journey, each from their unique professional perspective.

Some highlights were:

Brain Mapping- We discovered the presence of epileptic spikes in my brain waves, as well as major deficiencies in 3 out of 4 of my main neurotransmitters.
Oesteopathy - Alison was able to help drastically improve my balance and walking within the first three days. I rarely use my cane these days.
Energy Healers - We were able to clear energetic blockages in my head, heart and root chakras. I added meditation to my daily routine.
Nutritionist - After food intolerance testing, we were able to significantly change my food intake, so that the food I am consuming is also helping to heal my brain. I have already noticed a difference in my energy levels.

I have begun to take about $700 a month worth of supplements as recommended by Dr. Thompson. (Unfortunately, because they are pretty new, they are not covered by any health insurance.) They are helping to increase the deficiencies in my neuro-transmitters, help with inflammation, as well as heal my gut! I have already begun to notice some positive changes. This makes me more happy than a pig in poop! Thanks for helping me get here!

<![CDATA[Gaia was GREAT! CD now Available!]]>Sun, 06 Jul 2014 08:09:16 GMThttp://mirandacurrie.ca/blog/gaia-was-great-cd-now-availableGaia clinic was fabulous! I had a lot of testing and treatments. Most noticeably, the osteopath, Alison Daniel, was able to help me walk in a much more balanced fashion, while reducing overall pain. After my first session with her, she asked me to sit up slowly. As I did so I could feel many new sensations in my body, including a tendency to veer to the right! This was extraordinary because typically my imbalance causes me to veer to the left when I am walking. Within a few days I kept forgetting my cane places, because I felt like I didn't need it anymore! Fantastic. This is one of many fabulous things that happened at Gaia Clinic. I will meet with Dr. Tracy Thomson next week, where, after reviewing all the brain maps, scans, and other information gained from various practioners, she will reveal to me, the treatment plan for my optimum brain and overall health!

Oh yeah... and now you order my latest CD, Up In The Air here]]>

Hi Everyone!
I just started an IndieGogo campaign!
Check it out! http://www.igg.me/at/mirandacurrie

I am trying to raise $5000, so I can attend a private clinic called Gaia Collaborative Medicine, in Canmore Alberta. They are Canada's only brain mapping clinic, and the best in Canada. Money is the only barrier between me and recovery from this brain injury! There are "perks" when you choose to donate. Please help!
